SR2A Black Aluminum, Black Blade (Solid folding knife) by the Italian manufactory LionSteel. Compact version of the famous SR-1, the first folding knife with exclusive Solid Knife technology. Lightweight and durable compact folder by E.D.C.

Design by Molletta, designed by well-known and respected Italian designer with many years of experience. Michele Pensato (a.k.a. Molletta), is distinguished by a new approach to the use of materials and experiments in the application of heat treatment and the use of advanced software in the design of knives.

Sleipner - a chrome-molybdenum-vanadium, high-alloy universal tool steel blade with high wear and chipping resistance. Achieves high hardness of 60-62 HRC. Manufactured in Uddeholm steelworks in Sweden.

Blade - Drop Point with pronounced belly provides excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. The Plain blade has a Flat Grind that perfectly shows off the matte black Mil Spec finish. The IKBS assisted Thumb Stud on both sides of the blade makes it easy to open the blade. On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest.

IKBS - (ball bearing system) allows fast, smooth opening of the blade.

Solid Frame-Lock - reinforced, monolithic locking mechanism of the Ergal aluminum blade. One of the facings serves as a locking mechanism, is reinforced with hardened steel insert.

RotoLock - lock with a patented additional locking mechanism in the shape of a titanium shield by Gianni Pauletta. When the knife is open, turning the RotoLock about 1/8 of a turn clockwise wedges the locking mechanism, preventing unintentional release of the blade lock, provides the same stability of the blade as in knives with a fixed blade.

Handle - made in Solid® Knife technology, obtained from a single piece of aluminum Ergal, machined in 3D. This results in a monolithic skeleton (body) of the highest strength, which is a solid structural element. Facings with CNC machined, texture improving grooves perpendicular to the length of the handle for better grip. Knurled edge at bottom of handle prevents hand from slipping on blade. Two-position left/right metal clip allows knife to be carried in tip-up position. A lanyard hole in the back of the handle for a cord and a stainless steel clip retaining screw that can be used as a glass breaker.
