Serge Panchenko, a Ukrainian knifemaker, is known for his Dog Tag Knives. His mission is to design interesting and unique knives that not only look good, but are also extremely helpful in any everyday situation.

Steel

D2 - high carbon tool steel. With a high 10-13% chromium content, it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge retention and easy sharpening. It is characterized by high hardness in the range of 59-61 HRC and resistance to abrasion.

Blade

Spear point type finished with Stonewash technique which masks scratches and prevents glare. The generous point extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the blade converging towards a needle sharp tip of the knife combined with the high, flat grind gives excellent cutting properties. The blade is mounted on Teflon pads which support the opening mechanism. Thanks to these pads the folder can be efficiently unfolded by means of a notch in the blade (nail nick). This allows you to safely use this knife in countries that have restrictions on one-handed opening knives. The whole is locked with proven frame lock.

Handle

Chamfered edge on the presentation side made of cocobolo, a beautiful exotic wood with a unique pattern. On the lock side the handle is made of a solid piece of stainless steel. The whole is mounted to a stainless steel frame. To stiffen the construction they are screwed with spacer sleeves thanks to which we get characteristic Open Spaced construction. Simple, solid construction gives assurance of many years of use. At the back of the handle there is a lanyard hole for safety or decorative cord. One-position right-side solid metal clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position.
