The NITECORE SC2 two-slot smart charger is designed for fast, safe and efficient battery charging. The SC2 achieves a maximum total output of 5000mA and can charge a battery with up to 3A in a single slot, meaning it only needs 1.5 hours to fully charge a 3000mAh lithium battery.

The charger intelligently selects the most suitable charging current based on automatic battery capacity detection, and provides manual selection from 3, 2, 1 and 0.5A. The SC2 has reverse polarity protection, short-circuit prevention, and can detect non-charging batteries.

Due to their extremely low internal resistance, IMR batteries can be overcharged and pose a danger when charged in ordinary Li-ion battery chargers. To solve this problem, the SC2 includes an optimized IMR charging system that is able to monitor the entire charging process, ensuring the voltage is within safe limits, helping to extend battery life.

Another unique feature of the SC2 is the ability to restore IMR cells. When an OV IMR battery is inserted, all eight LEDs on the SC2 will flash to indicate that it is not ready for charging. If you press and hold the button above the slot in question, the charger will enter restore mode. If the battery fails to recover after several attempts, we recommend discarding it.

Other features include reverse polarity protection and short circuit prevention, USB output and overcharging protection.
