Synergy3 Black G10 / Twill Carbon Fiber, Black Hand Rubbed Damascus the result of a collaboration with American knifemaker, Jim O'Young. An easy-to-carry, sturdy EDC folding knife with a durable, wide blade designed for heavy use.

Jim O'Young - after a 20-year career as a mechanical design engineer in the electronics industry in Silicon Valley, Jim began to pursue his passions: sport shooting and the design and manufacture of innovative small arms and knives. Jim applied his knowledge and experience to the SpeedTech Synergy project using SolidWorks, a state-of-the-art CAD tool for 3D solid modeling. It was the first knife created using this technology and featured several design elements that had never before been used in a serial folder: an ergonomic, fully 3D digitally sculpted handle surface made from a single solid block of material, a floating bearing system and a button lock with enhanced interlocking geometry. Synergy was ahead of its time and was awarded Most Innovative American Design at the 1999 Blade Show.

Damascus - Damascus stainless steel blade with a unique pattern. Finished using the Black Hand Rubbed, hand rubbed damascus method. The blade consisting of two different types of steel, forged and put together in different ways obtaining this amazing pattern. It is characterized by high hardness in the range of 58-60 HRC.

Nested Liner Lock, a modification of the liner-lock by nesting the liner of the locking mechanism in the grip.

Blade - trailing point type, finished by hand using Black Hand Rubbed method. The generous belly extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the blade converging towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ball bearing ceramic supports the opening of the blade with a quick flipper flipper (index-finger flipper). When opened, the flipper forms a mini-guard to prevent the hand from slipping on the blade. The whole thing is locked with a modern Nested Liner Lock.

Handle - grips made of black G10 and Twill Carbon Fiber, with a beautiful pattern of concentrically spreading circles. Chamfered edges of the covers eliminate sharp edges for comfort and improve grip confidence. The backspacer is made of the same material as the Handle grips. The pivot is decorated with a stylized Civivi brand logo. A single-position, right-side deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position (blade tip up).

Case - included zippered soft nylon case with the manufacturer's logo for safe storage and transportation of the folder.
