CPM S45VN - an American martensitic high-alloy stainless steel with a hardness of 59-61 HRC, one of the best blade steels. Designed to provide better strength compared to CPM S30V, while keeping corrosion resistance at the highest level. Manufactured by US Crucible Industries using the particle metallurgy/ Crucible® Particle Metallurgy(CPM) method. The CPM process creates a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. The chemical composition has been balanced so that it is composed of 0.5% niobium carbides (Nb) along with 3.0% vanadium (V) and 14.0% chromium (Cr) carbides. The improved strength of CPM S45VN also provides better resistance to edge chipping.

The Praetorian Genesis T Drop Point, Brushed/Acid/Flamed/Blue Titanium, Bronze HW/Clip, NP3 Breaker, Tumbled blade has been machine-finished with a tumbled, concave grind for excellent cutting properties combined with high strength. The striking embossing increases the strength, using them to open the knife. To increase insensitivity to contamination, phosphor bronze washers were used, making the pivot axis more resistant to field work. A powerful titanium frame lock bar secures the knife from folding, unfolded and secured the knife is as solid as an armored cash register.

Handle made of titanium, presentation side brushed, acid-etched and then flame-dyed for an incredible visual effect. The lock side is anodized blue. All Praetorian variants are equipped with a D2 hardened steel backspacer, coated with NP3 which is also a glass nailer. MKT has thoroughly tested these backspacers and found that they are completely reliable and 100% functional. No tricks. There will be no other variants of this backspacer, in a different material or shape, as it is meant to save lives in an emergency, not for decoration. Wear hand and arm protection when testing, as excessive impact force will ALWAYS cause cuts! Screws and solid, clip, also made of titanium, of course, anodized bronze color.

The knife is supplied in a waterproofand dustproof - IP67 and shockproof (MIL-STD-810F) technical case from the American S3 Case Company, made of high-impact S433 resin - one of the most durable materials available in the world.

Included - cardboard packaging, S3 Case technical case, Dog Tag immortal and signed “Certificate of Creation and Authenticity”.
