Blade - about Sheepfoot profile (sheep's foot) ended with a blunt oval tip, which protects the rescued person from injury. Made of good sharpness, easy to sharpen 8Cr13MoV stainless steel (equivalent to Japanese AUS-8 steel). Blade was made with concave cut (Hollow Grind), enabling effective and safe cutting with considerable force. The ribbed back of the blade, the ramp positions the thumb and gives a solid support, and the arcuate undercut of the index finger between the handle and the cutting edge (finger choil jimping) facilitates folder handling. Comet-shaped (Spyderco patent) for quick blade opening. Blade blockade: Back-Lock type with additional protection against accidental release (lock cutout).
Spyder Edge - (Spyderco patent) new toothed Spyder blade with improved edge geometry, consists of one large and two small teeth, called „two-step”. This pattern increases the cutting edge length by up to 24% compared to a straight blade. Perfect for cutting hard materials, plastics and fibrous materials, among others ropes, belts.
Frame - reinforced with stainless steel plates to which the cladding is attached, ensures the strength of the structure. The phosphor bronze pads ensure trouble-free smooth opening and closing of the penknife.
Handle - non-slip textured in two directions claddings (Bi-Directional Texturing) strengthen the grip also with wet hands. Made of FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) plastic, fiberglass-reinforced nylon. Solid metal clip with the possibility of fixing in four planes (up / down, right / left) 4-way clip positions. Spine Jimping notched notches on the backs of the handle increase comfort and grip. The hole (lanyard hole) allows you to attach a safety cord.
