The 3.1 mm thick blade with Leaf Shaped profile provides an excellent cutting edge geometry with low friction. The cutting edge is Full Flat Grind. Plain blade extends along the entire length of the blade, allowing powerful cuts with the heel of the blade. The blade is made of sharpness retaining 8Cr13MoV stainless steel (equivalent to Japanese AUS-8 steel). Careful placement of the enlarged 14 mm round SpyderHole cutout (Spyderco patent) on the head positions the hand in the right place for intuitive opening of the head and at the same time increases the hump of the spine jimping thumb support.
Skeleton - two reduced stainless steel plates hidden in the handle linings, increase the rigidity and strength of the handle without adding weight. At the same time they form the basis of the Liner-Lock mechanism of the Michael Walker jimped liner. The entire assembly is bolted together with torx screws. Phosphor bronze washers ensure trouble-free, smooth opening and closing of the pocket knife.
Handle - profiled in black. Made of light textured facings of durable G-10, resistant to high and low temperatures, chemicals. A cut-out in one of the linings allows intuitive right hand access to the SpyderHole as well as the release of the Michael Walker Liner-Lock. Metal clip with 4-way clip positions in four planes (up/down, right/left). In the back of the covers, a hole (lanyard hole) for the attachment of a safety cable.
