Herbertz Solingen Drop Point Knife Folder 95mm (223412)

223412 medium sized sturdy folder with an ascetic design, from the German company Herbertz Solingen. A great option for any lover of the best classic folding knives, solid, strong and yet beautiful in its simplicity.

AISI 420 (American Iron and Steel Institute) rich in carbon, containing min. 12% chromium, a martensitic stainless steel that offers high hardenability (between 54-56 HRC) and strength as well as excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content results in the formation of chromium carbide compounds, providing wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools and knife blades.

The 3mm thick Drop Point blade proudly displays a satin matt finish. The generous belly extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the blade, converging towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. Hollow grind for powerful slicing performance. Solid Back Lock of the blade.  

Handle - curved, covered with natural facings made of Pakka Wood, a composite of wood and plastic. The laminate is made by selecting hardwood veneers and impregnating them with thermosetting phenolic resins. The grip covers are fixed with rivets made of polished brass. The headstock is finished with a bolster made of corrugated stainless steel. In the back of the handle a lanyard hole, a hole that allows the attachment of a thong or rope.
