Byrd Hawkbill FRN Black, Spyder an ultra-lightweight and incredibly sharp, easy to carry compact folder from Spyderco. One of the most popular knives offered on the market with the Hawkbill head. The rounded shape is extremely effective, the Hawkbill blade mimics the way an eagle's talons tear - piercing and cutting.

The shape of the blade allows full control over the object being cut, keeping it on the curved sharpened edge, preventing the object from slipping off the end of the blade.

Blade - with Hawkbill profile. Made of good sharpness retaining, molybdenum-vanadium 8Cr13MoV stainless steel (similar in properties to the Japanese AUS-8). Spyder blade with Hollow Grind. Comet-shaped cut-out (Spyderco patent) for quick opening of the blade. Back-Lock of the blade with protection against accidental release of the lock during firm grip, cut-out in the lock designed by David Boye.

SpyderEdge - (Spyderco patent) serrated blade usually has a few millimetres of smooth blade on the tip side. The Spyder blade consists of alternating one large and two small teeth called two-step. This pattern increases the length of the cutting edge by up to 24% compared to a straight blade. Ideal for cutting, inflicting deep wounds, cutting through hard materials including bone.

Handle - reinforced with stainless steel plates to which the liners are attached, provides strength to the construction. Anti-slip Bi-Directional Texturing (Bi-Directional Texturing) facings strengthen the grip even when the hands are wet. Black-coloured covers made of FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon). Metal hourglass clip with 4-way clip positions (up/down, right/left). Spine Jimping notches on the back of the handle increase comfort and grip security. A hole (lanyard hole) allows the attachment of a safety cord.
