BD2 Contractor Black, versatile, ultralight 105 g and easy to carry are the features of Extrema Ratio folding knives of the Basic Folder series. The compact version of the BD4 Contractor knife with a double-sided blade has an elegant, functional shape reminiscent of the classic Italian style.

Perfectly balanced - easy to carry, also when concealed - the needle-sharp blade will overcome any obstacle. A typical tool of a professional.

Blade - slim, extremely sharp Leaf-Shaped profile with a double-edged symmetrical blade, provides excellent cutting edge geometry with low friction. The sides of the blade with a short saw for aggressive cutting. Blade made of good sharpness retention, produced in the Austrian steelworks Böhler-Uddeholm, durable, high-cobalt N690 stainless steel with a hardness of 58 HRC. Coated with matte non-reflective MIL-C-13924 BURNISHING coating. Plain blade on both sides, led out with Flat Grind for strength and extreme cutting and penetration performance. Robust Liner-Lock mechanism. Double-sided (double guard) fluted rim for quick opening and hand protection.

Handle - anodised aluminium grip linings for light weight and structural strength. The open-backed design simplifies cleaning and maintenance. In keeping with the design intent as a potential personal defence tool, each liner contains a single divot (hollow) to provide an axis of rotation during grip change techniques. The left/right bridge shaped metal clip allows you to carry the knife deep in your pocket (discreetly) in tip-up position. The clip also provides a comfortable thumb rest, especially for users who appreciate an inverted grip.
