CPM S35VN - American martensitic stainless steel, designed to provide better strength compared to CPM S30V, while maintaining corrosion resistance at the highest level. The chemical composition has been balanced so that it is composed of 0.5% niobium carbides along with 3.0% vanadium and 14.0% chromium carbides. Replacing some of the niobium carbides with vanadium carbides makes it about 15-20% harder than S30V without losing wear resistance. It is also easier to machine and polish. The improved CPM strength of S35VN provides better resistance to edge chipping. The CPM process produces a very uniform, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. Blade - Leaf-shaped, 3.1 mm thick. Made of excellent CPM S35VN steel, which is an improved version of the popular S30V. Plain blade is Full Flat Grind. Enlarged 14 mm round SpyderHole cutout (Spyderco patent) makes opening the folder easier with cold or wet hands. Notched part of the back of the head, ramp (spine jimping) positions the thumb, gives a solid support, makes it easier to operate the knife.

Skeletonized - of solid, skeletonized stainless steel plates provides exceptional structural strength while forming the basis of the Liner-Lock, Michael Walker jimped liner head locking mechanism. The whole thing is bolted together with torx screws for easy unfolding and folding of the folder.

Handle - profiled in blue color. Made of light textured facings of durable FRN (fiberglass-reinforced-nylon). Metal clip with 4-way clip positions (up/down, right/left). In the back of the handle, a hole (lanyard hole) for attaching a safety line.
