MAC Coltellerie AQUATYS 3 diving knife (MC AQT12-4.N)

AQUATYS 3 diver's knife with a fixed blade of full tang construction produced by the Italian company MAC Coltellerie. Suitable for work during diving expeditions as well as on land.

1.4116, X50CrMoV15 - molybdenum-vanadium steel used for high quality knives, cutlery and surgical tools. It is characterized by relatively high, as for stainless steels, hardness. Resistant to corrosion in kitchen conditions. It is a recommendable alternative to 1.4034 / X46Cr13 / 4H13. The chemical composition is enriched by the content of Chromium, the addition of Molybdenum and Vanadium.

Blade - 3.8 mm thick, made of polished stainless molybdenum-vanadium steel W 1.4116 (X50CrMoV15) with high corrosion resistance, suitable for prolonged contact with water. Steel hardened in the range of 55-56 HRC. Blade is additionally protected by Teflon coating in black and blue in a characteristic "tiger stripes" pattern.

Blade - smooth Plain type led out with Flat Grind, is characterized by good mechanical properties and long holding of sharpness. On the back of the blade is a smooth cutout for cutting rope and undermining crustaceans and a Serrated blade for aggressive cutting of hard materials, plastics and fibrous materials such as rope and nets. The unique Serrated blade alternates between one large and three small "three-step" teeth. This pattern increases cutting edge length by up to 24% over a straight blade. Ideal for aggressive cutting of hard materials, plastics and fibrous materials such as rope and netting.

Handle - black in color. Covered with non-slip textured rubber-like grips made of thermoplastic elastomer, also called TPE (guarantees safe grip in water environment), combined with PP polymer. The ergonomic shape of the facings prevents your hand from slipping during work. The head is finished with a steel hammer.

Sheath - made of ABS plastic with holes for drainage of water, moisture. The holster is equipped with a latch that prevents the knife from slipping out in water. The scabbard comes with two rubber straps and 2 plastic buckles for attaching the case to your arm, leg or vest.
