KUR G10 Green / Stone Washed Blade, a lightweight, handy and rugged E.D.C. folder from Italian manufactory LionSteel. Winner of Blade magazine's prestigious Overall Knife of The Year award at the Blade Show.
Design by Molletta, designed by a well-known and respected Italian designer with years of experience. Michele Pensato (a.k.a. Molletta), is distinguished by a new approach to the use of materials and experimentation in the application of heat treatment and the use of advanced software in knife design.
Sleipner - A high-alloy chrome-molybdenum-vanadium all-purpose tool steel blade with high wear and chipping resistance. Achieves high hardness of 60-61 HRC. Manufactured in Uddeholm steelworks in Sweden.
Drop point blade with well marked belly finished in Stone Washed method, plain cutting edge. The small thickness of the blade in combination with the high, flat grind gives a perfect geometry of the cutting edge and extreme cutting efficiency. The IKBS ball bearing system assists in the smooth and seamless operation of the opening mechanism. The entire mechanism is locked with a proven and popular liner lock.
ReF - (Removable Flipper System) placed on the underside of the blade projection / flipper fin supported by Double Crown facilitates opening the blade with one hand. It consists of a small lever (projection) protruding beyond the back of the handle when the head is closed. In the open position the protrusion acts as a hilt, protecting the hand against slipping on the blade. In the folder there is a possibility to unscrew the Removable Flipper System lever (unscrew the flipper fin and then insert the second screw located in the box) and open the blade with both hands. This is important in countries where there is a ban on knives with one-handed opening blades in public places.
IKBS - (ball bearing system) enables fast, smooth opening of the blade.
Handle - steel liners with 3D machined green G10 (fiberglass compressed with synthetic resin) facings are attached to a 6AI4V solid titanium spacer (backspacer). Right-side compact deep-pocket wire clip allows you to carry the knife deep in your pocket (discreetly) in tip-up position. Exposed titanium head with lanyard hole, rope hole can be used as a hammer or glass breaker as a last resort.
