Steel
D2 - high carbon tool steel. With its high 10-13% chromium content, it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge retention and easy sharpening. It is characterized by high hardness in the range of 59-61 HRC and resistance to abrasion.
Blade
Drop point type, with a wide blade finished in Bead Blasted method for masking scratches. Long cutting edge in relation to the length of the blade converges towards needle sharp tip of the knife. Thickness of blade provides high strength while high, flat grind guarantees excellent cutting properties. Ceramic ball bearings ensure smooth operation of the blade ejector mechanism. The flipper fin when opened creates a mini-guard to prevent your hand from slipping on the blade. The knife can also be opened by means of a hole milled in the wedge. On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest. Liner-Lock mechanism.
Handle
Black G10 (fiberglass compressed with synthetic resin) textured handle grips screwed to steel frame for better grip. The open-backed design secured together by steel spacers reduces weight and makes cleaning easier. Simple, sturdy design gives assurance of many years of use. Deep forefinger groove improves grip security. The pivot is embellished with a stylized Kubey Knife brand logo. Two-position (right/left) metal deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position. Above the clip lanyard hole, a hole for threading a safety or decorative cord.
