AUS-10 produced at Takefu Special Steel Corporation's steel mills based in Fukui, Japan, a vanadium-rich 0.3% (V), molybdenum-rich 1.20% (Mo) and cobalt-rich 1.5% (Co) high-carbon stainless steel. The balanced combination of high carbon content of 1.05% (C) and chromium content of 15.50% (Cr) makes a stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance, high hardness (hardened to around 60 HRC) and the ability to hold an edge for a long time. As a result, knives made from AUS-10 are easy to sharpen, delivering a razor-sharp edge with exceptional performance.

Blade - features a Drop Point profile, finished with a scratch-concealing Bead Blasted method, which involves abrasive blasting with fine glass or ceramic beads. The long, slender cutting edge converges towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade ensures high strength while the high, flat grind guarantees excellent cutting properties. Ceramic ball bearings are responsible for the smooth and smooth operation of the blade advancement mechanism.
