Sethlans Expeditions Desert G10, Dark Stone if we connect with each other, Daniele Dal Canto, a professional survival techniques instructor with the title of Master Advancet in F.I.S.S.S. (Italian Federation of Sports and Experimental Survival) with the experience of the Extrema Ratio company, in access we get the result and a made outdoor knife intended for survival, bushcraft or as a spare knife called. backup.
Expedition Series is the new range of tools dedicated to professional explorers. The Expedition Series knives offer the same reliability and high quality as any other Extrema Ratio tactical tool provided to the military special forces and law enforcement.
N690 - corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C), martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with the addition of molybdenum 1.10% (Mo), vanadium 0.10% (V) and cobalt 1.50% (Co) for structural uniformity. Features exceptionally high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world today. Achieves a hardness of 58 HRC. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - is a classic drop point, forming a slight arc at the top together with the handle. This shape provides excellent ergonomics for work. The full flat grind is an excellent cut, while the 6.3mm shaded to 4mm thick blade gives above-average strength. A "false blade" has been added to the upper part, thanks to which we gain precision in works requiring the use of the tip of the knife. On the back of the blade you will find a finger notch to increase control over the blade. For additional protection against corrosion, the steel is covered with a chemically polished, non-reflective MIL-C-13924 BURNISHING coating and a stone washed surface treatment - Dark Stone finish.
Handle - desert G10 cladding with a cutout for the fingers characteristic of ER, screwed directly to the tango. They can be removed, freeing the skeleton structure of the knife, which allows for maximum lightness with minimum thickness. And here another attention to detail in the design, screws were used for the flat tip of the screwdriver, which will make it much easier to disassemble the knife in the field. For those who love extreme personalization, the full-tang design allows the handle to be covered with paracord. At the back of the handle there are similar finger grooves at the top and bottom as on the blade; if we change the handle, we will always have additional control points. There is also a massive breaker/hammer with a hole for a safety or decorative cord.
Sheath - made of kydex and cordura, the sheath has a modular design. In its full configuration, we can hang the holster on the belt, attach it to the equipment equipped with the M.O.L.L.E. system, while if we prefer minimalism, we can detach all these accessories and leave only the kydex sheath. On the side of the scabbard there is a mount for a flint (included), in the pouch there is a paracord and flammable material for lighting a fire with a flint. You can see in this design years of designer experience brilliantly executed by Extrema Ratio.
