The K1 Dobermann was Extrema Ratio's first design produced in 1997. A typical fighter with an aggressive blade line, it quickly became the company's icon and broke into the tactical knife market. Never reissued, after 25 years it lived to see a limited collector's edition!
N690 - corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C), martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with the addition of molybdenum 1.10% (Mo), vanadium 0.10% (V) and cobalt 1.50% (Co) for structural uniformity. Features exceptionally high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world today. Achieves a hardness of 57-60 HRC. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - with an aggressive Spear Point profile, a thickness of 6.3 mm, a long false blade that increases piercing properties, and a characteristic hole in the blade for improved balance. The high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. At the base of the wedge, a single-sided hilt protects the hand from slipping on the blade. The dynamic lines of the blade are exquisitely accentuated by the elegant Satin finish.
Handle - covered with Anticorodal Aluminum facings anodized black. Finished with a large multifunctional skull crusher spike. Twisted with decorative screws, they were covered with an intricate hexagonal pattern, which, in addition to aesthetic value, also improves the grip. The strongly downward-curved shape of the handle with strong support for the back of the hand allows you to increase the efficiency and strength of your cuts without worrying about the knife falling out of your hand. The knife works perfectly in both saber and reverse grip.
Sheath - when designing the knife for professional use, great emphasis was placed on ease of carrying and retrieval. The holster made of high-quality leather offers the possibility of attaching to the belt or, in the "tactical" version - to the thigh. In addition, it is possible to attach the sheath to a tactical harness system (included) for wearing under a jacket or blazer.
