M-48 Black PVD Al / Titanium, Tumbled, a tribute to the M-48 Patton battle tank. Hybrid bearing folding knife, aluminium and titanium handle and reversible clip. Greg Medford's idea was to create the most reliable knives imaginable while retaining their beauty and adding the 'soul' of hand finishing.

CPM S35VN - American martensitic high-alloy stainless steel with a hardness of 59-61 HRC, one of the best steels for blades. Designed to provide better strength compared to CPM S30V, while maintaining corrosion resistance at the highest level. Manufactured by US Crucible Industries using the particle metallurgy / Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process. The CPM process produces a very homogeneous, high quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. The chemical composition has been balanced so that it consists of 0.5% niobium carbides (Nb) along with 3.0% vanadium (V) and 14.0% chromium (Cr) carbides. Replacing some of the niobium carbides with vanadium carbides makes the steel approximately 15-20% harder than S30V without losing wear resistance, and it is also easier to machine and polish. The improved strength of CPM S35VN also provides better resistance to edge chipping.

M-48 Black PVD Aluminium / Titanium, Tumbled, has been machine-finished using the 'tumbled' method, the handmade concave grinds give excellent cutting properties combined with high strength. The innovative Magnus Edged cut strengthens the tip of the knife. For smooth operation of the opening mechanism, ball bearings are used, so the knife opens smoothly and noiselessly. The flipper fin, when unfolded, acts as a mini guard to protect our hand. A powerful titanium frame lock bar secures the knife against folding, unfolded and secured the knife is as solid as an armoured cash register.

The display side of the handle is black PVD-coated aluminium, the lock side titanium. The aluminium is embossed with the imprint of a tank track and the M-48 marking, and is completed by a solid clip, also in titanium, of course.

A Peli-type waterproof case for storing and carrying the knife is included.
