Wraith-M (Manual) premium folder with a perfectly crafted handle made from a single piece of titanium, which not only increases durability, but also provides unparalleled comfort during use. The hand-ground and sharpened blade, assembled by skilled craftsmen, provides a tactile feel and exceptional cutting capabilities. The folder combines an extremely strong construction, ball bearings, integral titanium handle, clip and pivot axe, and the legendary workmanship for which the iconic Heretic Knives brand is known. CPM MagnaCut - powder stainless steel manufactured using the Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process hardened to 60.5-62.5 HRC. The high content of vanadium 4.0% (V), molybdenum 2.0% (Mo) and niobium 2.0% (Nb) guarantees accuracy and purity unmatched by more “conventional” steels. Designed and developed specifically for blade production by Larrin Thomas, it meets all the requirements of knife enthusiasts. With CPM MagnaCut succeeded in creating a steel that combines the unique properties of knife steels like no other. The result is a blade material that offers a remarkable balance of wear resistance, strength and corrosion resistance. There is no other steel on the world market today that offers a comparable combination of superior properties. This exceptional steel is produced at Crucible® Industries' American steel mills.
DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) durability of the blade surface is enhanced with a matte black nanocomposite coating, which exhibits unique properties such as exceptional hardness and low friction, as well as excellent corrosion protection. It is one of the most scratch and abrasion resistant coatings that are used in industry, including the knife industry.
Blade - wide, Drop Point S/E (Single Edge) type, surface durability is enhanced with a matte black DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) nanocomposite coating with Battleworn finish. The generous belly extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the blade converging towards the needle-sharp tip. The solid thickness of the blade combined with the high flat grind gives excellent cutting properties combined with high durability. The knife can be opened with a flipper flipper (index-finger flipper). This makes it easy to use for both right- and left-handed people. To maintain full control of the blade, there is an upper jimping, notched thumb rest on the back of the blade. The entire blade is locked with the proven and popular frame lock with a steel insert to prevent the lock face from rubbing off.
Handle - obtained from a single piece of 6AI4V titanium, machined on CNC milling machines. Monolithic skeleton (body) of the highest strength, being a solid structural element. On the presentation side, screwed Carbon Fiber grip. Pivot axis decorated with a blue titanium circle. Like the blade, the Handle has been DLC-coated with a Battleworn finish. The titanium one-position deep carry clip allows the knife to be carried in the tip-up position.
