All blades of MAM Filmam knives are made of high-quality AISI 420 stainless steel from German Thyssen-Krupp steel mills which is treated and hardened as for VG-10 steel, thus achieving the use of the maximum capabilities of 420 steel. Additions of molybdenum, vanadium, silicon and carbon make the steel hardenable up to 57 HRC, and provide strength, toughness, machinability and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds, providing wear resistance and holding the sharpness of the cutting edge after hardening. Special machines are used for machining, regularly tested by the company's technicians

Blade - made of high quality German (ThyssenKrupp) AISI 420 stainless steel with molybdenum, vanadium, silicon and carbon. The blade has a hardness of 57 HRC. Plain blade, was derived with a full flat grind, which, combined with the slight thickness of the blade, provides above-average cutting properties. The knife is opened with a nail nick on the wedge.

Handle - made of one piece of orange lacquered, durable and lightweight beech wood, finished on the side of the blade with a brass ring. Thanks to the impregnation process, it is resistant to moisture and to fresh and salt water. Ergonomic grip profile does not cause fatigue during use.
