Medford Praetorian T DP Blue Titanium, Bronze HW/Clip, Tumbled S45VN by Greg Medford
- Praetorian T Drop Point, Blue Titanium, Bronze HW/Clip, Tumbled is MKT's flagship custom folder with a handmade concave cut, that will stand up to the toughest tasks. It is a rarity in the knife industry few manufacturers can handcraft a hollow grind.
The elite Imperial Praetorian Guard was a unit into which the best of the Roman legionaries were selected to serve as the Emperor's personal protection. The Praetorian T Drop Point, Blue Titan, Bronze HW/Clip, NP3 Breaker, Tumbled from MKT is just such an elite knife. Its amazing design is limited only by the strength of its materials. With a 4.8mm thick blade, solid 3.2mm thick titanium grips and 6.35mm thick pivots and screws, it stands out from other knives. The hollow grind on the blade has been crafted by hand - a rarity in the knife industry, achieved by only a select few manufacturers capable of executing such precision.
Greg Medford's idea was to create the most reliable knives imaginable while retaining their beauty and adding the "soul" of hand finishing.
CPM S45VN - American martensitic high-alloy stainless steel with a hardness of 59-61 HRC, one of the best steels for blades. Designed to provide better strength compared to CPM S30V, while keeping corrosion resistance at the highest level. Manufactured by US Crucible Industries using the particle metallurgy / Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) method. The CPM process creates a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. The chemical composition has been balanced so that it is composed of 0.5% niobium carbides (Nb) along with 3.0% vanadium (V) and 14.0% chromium (Cr) carbides. The improved strength of CPM S45VN also provides better resistance to edge chipping.
The powerful Praetorian T-type Drop Point Blade has been machine-finished with a tumbled, concave grind for excellent cutting properties combined with high strength. Impressive embossing increases the strength, using them to open the knife. For increased insensitivity to contamination, phosphor bronze washer was used, making the pivot axis more resistant to field work. A powerful titanium frame lock bar secures the knife from folding, and unfolded and secured the knife is as solid as an armored cash register.
Handle made of blue anodized titanium. All Praetorian variants are equipped with an NP3-coated D2 hardened steel backspacer, which also serves as a glass breaker. MKT has thoroughly tested these backspacers and found that they are completely reliable and 100% functional. No gimmicks. There will be no other variants of the backspacer, in a different material or a different shape, because it is meant to save lives in an emergency, not for decoration. Wear hand and arm protection when testing, as excessive impact force will ALWAYS cause cuts! The whole thing is completed with a solid clip, also made of titanium, of course.
The knife is supplied in a waterproof and dustproof - IP67 and shockproof (MIL-STD-810F) technical case from the American S3 Case Company, made of high-impact S433 resin - one of the most durable materials available in the world.
Included - cardboard packaging, S3 Case technical case, Dog Tag immortal and signed "Certificate of Creation and Authenticity".

Przeczytaj!
This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.
Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.
A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.
When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.
Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.
