Civivi - a sub-brand of WE Knife, a company that produces knives of the highest global quality. Production takes place on the same production lines as WE, so the highest standard of assembly is maintained.
D2 - high-carbon, high-chromium high-speed tool steel heat-treated to 59-60 HRC. With a high chromium content of 13.0% (Cr), it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. Features high wear resistance due to high carbide content in the microstructure.
Blade - Reverse Tanto type, provides this knife with greater piercing ability. Finished with a scratch-masking Stonewashed method. The short grain significantly improves the durability of the blade. The long blade converges toward the needle-sharp tip of the knife. A mixed flat grind is used here, in the back part is a thicker flat grind for heavier work, the so-called Flat Ground Primary Bevel. In the front part we have a high flat ground for cutting and precision work. To improve piercing capabilities, an unsharpened false blade is brought out in the upper part.
ULTEM™ - a plastic belonging to the Polyethermoids family or simply PEI. This material is characterized primarily by high mechanical and impact strength with a very high strength-to-weight ratio. It is also characterized by high thermal resistance (180⁰C) and high chemical resistance to all kinds of solvents (synthetic and natural), lubricants or other chemicals. Adding to this total insensitivity to weather conditions, we get an ideal material for knife handles.
Handle - grips made of polished, transparent Ultem™ plastic, finished with a toxic finish for improved grip security, are screwed directly to the tang. The contoured shape provides a comfortable, secure grip even with wet hands. A fore finger groove made on the front improves grip security, while creating a guard to prevent hands from slipping on the blade. In the back there is a hole for a decorative or safety line.
Sheath - made of black kydex which, thanks to a T-clip (Tek-Lok) mounted to it, we can almost freely attach to a belt or to the equipment.
