D2 - a high-carbon, high-chromium high-speed tool steel heat-treated to 58-60 HRC. With a high 13.0% chromium (Cr) content, it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. Features high wear resistance due to high carbide content in the microstructure.

DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) durability of the blade surface is enhanced with a matte black nanocomposite coating, which exhibits unique properties such as exceptional hardness and low friction, as well as excellent corrosion protection. It is one of the most resistant coatings to scratches and abrasion that are used in industry, including the knife industry.

The powerful Praetorian Scout M/P Tanto type blade has been coated with a black DLC coating, the concave grinds give excellent cutting properties combined with high strength. The striking embossing increases the strength, using them to open the knife. For increased insensitivity to contamination, phosphor bronze washer was used, making the pivot axis more resistant to field work. A powerful titanium liner lock bar secures the knife from folding, and unfolded and secured the knife is as solid as an armored cash register.

Handle made of G10 composite, bolted to a titanium frame. All Praetorian variants are equipped with a PVD-coated D2 hardened steel backspacer, which also serves as a glass striker. The knife is delivered in a waterproof and dustproof - IP67 and shockproof (MIL-STD-810F) technical case from the American S3 Case Company, made of high-impact S433 resin - one of the most durable materials available in the world.
