Keanu Alfaro, an experienced industrial designer and entrepreneur from San Diego, California, USA, has an unwavering passion for creating innovative knives and everyday tools. 14C28N - a martensitic chromium stainless steel - is the latest development in a range of knife steels produced by Sandvik's Swedish mills. An optimized chemical composition with a unique combination provides superior quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the amount of carbon 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding nitrogen 0.11% (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly improved. Considered an improved version of 13C26 steel. Unbeatable in the price / quality category!

Blade - drop point type, with scratch-masking finish bathed in fine Stonewashed pebbles, and then coated in black. The pronounced belly extends the length of the cutting edge relative to the length of the blade converging toward the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ball bearings support the opening of the blade with a rectangular plate on the back of the wedge (thumb disc). A section of the blade's back is covered with an upper jimping, notched thumb rest for easy control of the knife. The whole thing is locked with the proven and popular button lock.

Handle - grips made of G10 composite, a virtually indestructible plastic that is insensitive to weather conditions, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage. Chamfered edges of the covers eliminate sharp edges and characteristic texturing of the surface improves grip security. The open-backed design, fixed with steel spacer sleeves, reduces weight and facilitates cleaning. The single-position (right) clip allows the knife to be carried in tip-up position, with the tip of the blade upward. Above the clip a hole for threading a safety or decorative cord.
