Brian Brown - originally from the USA, a representative of the young generation of knifemakers. Since 2018 he has been making knives professionally, ExOne is the first knife resulting from the cooperation between Brian and Civivi Knife.
Civivi - a sub-brand of WE Knife, a company that makes knives of the highest global quality. Production takes place on the same production lines as WE , so the highest standard of assembly is maintained.
Nitro-V stainless chrome-based martensitic knife steel introduced by New Jersey Steel Baron(NJSB). The manufacturer used the existing superior AEB-L knife steel and upgraded it with nitrogen and vanadium to improve edge performance and achieve high hardness and extreme corrosion resistance, especially crucial in the marine industry and humid environments. Nitro V can be used in diving knives because of its resistance to staining and corrosion. The recommended working hardness is between 58-62HRC, and it has very good impact strength compared to other steels. It is harder than stainless powder steels such as M390, Elmax and S35VN. Therefore, Nitro-V will be a good fit for knives that require good toughness.
Blade - Reverse Tanto type , finished masking minor scratches with a bath of fine Stonewashed pebbles and then coated in black. The small thickness of the blade, combined with a high concave grind , gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. A wide grain reinforces the wedge and can serve as a nail nick. Ball bearing ceramic supports the smooth operation of the opening mechanism of the wedge, which can be opened with a quick flipper flipper (index-finger flipper). When opened, the flipper forms a mini-guard to prevent the hand from slipping on the blade. On the back of the upper jimping wedge , a notched thumb rest. The whole is locked with a solid liner lock.
Handle - grips made of rough Canvas Micarta (pressure-pressed canvas with synthetic resin) with a distinctive surface texture, which were screwed to steel liners. Chamfered edges on the covers eliminate sharp edges for a comfortable and secure grip. A solid Micarta backspacer provides the desired rigidity and strength of construction. The simple, secure design provides confidence for years of use. The pivot axis is adorned with a stylized Civivi brand logo . A two-position right/left deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position (blade tip up).
Case - the knife is packed in a zippered soft nylon case with the brand's logo. It is used for safe storage and transportation of the folder.
