Vanax - the third generation of nitrogen stainless steel made with powder metallurgy technology. The new Vanax holds the sharpness of the cutting edge better and is harder than previous versions. One of the most technologically advanced steels used to make knives. The steel has very little carbon. Nitrogen is used instead of carbon to make the steel hard. The result is a steel with extreme corrosion resistance, great edge holding, good strength and easy sharpening. Manufactured at Uddeholm steel mills in Sweden .
Blade- Drop Point type , polished and then finished with a scratch-masking Bead Blasted glaze . The wide blade converges towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ceramic ball bearings support the opening of the blade with a discreet flipper flipper. The entire blade is locked with the proven and popular frame lock with a steel inlay to prevent wiping of the lock face.
Handle - made of titanium 6AL4V, beveled edges of the covers eliminate sharp edges. The whole screwed to a solid backspacer, also made of titanium.
