Buffalo-17G Green Micarta, Satin, a large knife made of 440 stainless steel. This improves the hardness and strength of the blade. Handle made of micarta guarantees a comfortable and secure grip. Hand-stitched leather sheath included. The goal was to create a reliable tool with high handiness for all kinds of field use.
AISI 440 (American Iron and Steel Institute) high-carbon (min. 0.95%) martensitic alloy stainless steel of 57-59 HRC hardness with impressively high strength and corrosion resistance, containing min. 16% chromium. The high carbon content results in the formation of chromium carbide compounds, providing wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for the manufacture of cutting tools for knife and scissor blades and medical instruments.
Blade - wide Bowie type blade elegantly finished with Satin finish. Despite its thickness, the full flat grind provides excellent cutting properties combined with excellent durability. Guard - made of brass on both sides, protects fingers from slipping on the blade while working.
Handle - made of waterproof green micarta, a virtually indestructible plastic, insensitive to weather conditions, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage. The contoured Handle eliminates sharp edges for comfortable grip and the texture on the surface improves grip confidence. Guard and Pommel made of brass.
Sheath - hand-stitched, made of top quality cowhide with embossed manufacturer's logo. The edges of the case are stitched with decorative thread. Fastened with a Prym type snap. The belt attachment allows you to carry the knife in an upright position.
