Ontos II Expeditions Desert Forprene, Dark Stonewashed MIL-C is a reliable survival knife designed for demanding outdoor expeditions. N690 - corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C), martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with added molybdenum 1.10% (Mo), vanadium 0.10% (V) and cobalt 1.50% (Co) for structural homogeneity. It is characterized by exceptionally high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world today. It reaches a hardness of 57-60 HRC. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.

Blade: classic drop point, thickness 6.0 mm. The blade has a stonewashed finish to hide minor scratches caused by use, and is then coated with MIL-C-13924. The blade is plain with a flat grind. The high belly of the cutting edge significantly increases its length in relation to the length of the blade. The false edge increases the penetrating properties, and the flat part of the spine can be used for chopping.

Handle - full-size FH (Full Handle) type used in Extrema Ratio assault knives. Non-slip grips with rubber-like properties, made of thermoplastic elastomer Forprene (flexible return, soft, resistant to chemicals), guarantee a secure grip even with wet hands. Steel pommel with an enlarged oval hole (lanyard hole) for attaching a leash or safety line, can be used as a hammer / window breaker.

Sheath - made of cordura. Can be attached to a belt or M.O.L.L.E. system-equipped equipment.
