CPM 15V - with the highest vanadium content of 14.50% (V), wear-resistant stainless tool steel with 5.25% chromium (Cr), 3.40% carbon (C) and 1.30% molybdenum (Mo). The high vanadium content (50% more hard vanadium carbides in its microstructure than CPM 10V) promotes the formation of hard vanadium carbides that provide strength and exceptional wear resistance, and also increases corrosion resistance. This unique steel is designed for the production of high-quality, extremely wear-resistant blades and knife blades where a long service life is desired. Produced by US Crucible Industries using the Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) method. The CPM process creates a very homogeneous, high-quality steel characterized by excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods.

Compression-Lock - (similar to Liner-Lock) a blade locking mechanism patented by Spyderco (made in the USA). Extremely durable, it ensures extreme strength and ease of use. Located on the back of the handle, it prevents the knife from being accidentally closed. When unlocking the knife, the fingers are not in the way of the folding blade.

Blade - modified clip point profile, finished with elegant satin finish. Plain blade with full flat grind to increase cutting properties and reduce the weight of the knife. Enlarged 14 mm round SpyderHole (Spyderco patent) for opening the knife, even when wearing gloves. Thumb rest with jimping, ramp jimping (spine jimping) and (finger choil jimping), undercut jimping between the handle and cutting edge for a better grip.

Handle - made of G10 composite, a virtually indestructible material that is resistant to weather, chemicals and mechanical damage. The non-slip texture makes the handle easy to hold, even with wet hands. The grips are attached to the steel liners with torx screws. The folder is equipped with a metal clip with 4-way clip positions. The back of the handle has an enlarged hole (lanyard hole) for attaching a lanyard or safety line.
