Sage 5 Lightweight Salt Yellow FRN, Satin is the fifth generation of the universal folding knife that combines advanced technology with elegant design. This version was created for extreme conditions of use, an irreplaceable tool for demanding users. The author of the design is Sal Glesser, who is famous for his excellent ergonomic and technical solutions. Blade is made of CPM MagnaCut steel adapted for long-term exposure to moisture, resistant to salt and rust. Handle ultra-light FRN composite, which ensures durability, impact resistance and a secure grip, even in wet conditions. The bright yellow color makes it easy to locate the knife in difficult terrain. The Compression Lock offers reliability and smooth operation, guaranteeing safe use. The design of the knife provides an excellent balance between strength and mobility, making it ideal for both everyday use and demanding off-road situations. 

CPM MagnaCut – powdered stainless steel produced in the Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process, hardened to 60.5-62.5 HRC. The high vanadium content of 4.0% (V), molybdenum content of 2.0% (Mo) and niobium content of 2.0% (Nb) guarantee a level of precision and purity that is unmatched by more “conventional” steels. Specially designed and developed for blade production by Larrin Thomas, it meets all the requirements of knife enthusiasts. Thanks to CPM MagnaCut, it has been possible to create a steel that combines the unique properties of knife steels like no other. The result is a blade material that offers an extraordinary balance between wear resistance, strength and corrosion resistance. Currently, there is no other steel on the world market that offers a comparable combination of excellent properties. This unique steel is produced in American steelworks Crucible® Industries.

Blade - Leaf-Shaped profile, 3 mm thick. Plain blade with Full Flat Grind to increase cutting properties. Flat grind guarantees excellent cutting edge geometry with a sharp tip, reduces knife weight and presents a beautiful satin finish. The enlarged 14 mm round SpyderHole cut-out (Spyderco patent) allows the knife to be opened even with wet, sweaty hands. Finger Choil, an arched undercut for the index finger and a ribbed ramp for the thumb on the spine of the blade for smooth folder operation. The whole is locked by a simple and proven Liner Lock.

Handle - in bright yellow, characteristic of the SALT line. Non-slip bi-directional textured covers (Bi-Directional Texturing) reinforce the grip even with wet hands. Made of FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) plastic. The covers are attached to the backspacer, which ensures the strength and rigidity of the entire structure. Metal wire clip with two-position fastening (right/left). Lanyard hole in the back of the handle for a safety or decorative cord.
