14C28N - martensitic stainless chromium steel is the latest development in the range of knife steels produced by the Swedish steelworks Sandvik. The optimized chemical composition with a unique combination ensures the highest quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the carbon content to 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content to 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding nitrogen to 0.11% (N), the corrosion resistance has been significantly increased. Considered an improved version of 13C26. Unbeatable in terms of price/quality!

Vacuum & Cryogenic - 14C28N steel undergoes a specialized heat treatment process involving two key stages. Vacuum Heat Treatment - the steel is hardened in a vacuum environment, which minimizes oxidation and ensures more uniform metal properties. This process increases the strength and structural integrity of the steel. Cryogenic Treatment After heating, the steel is rapidly cooled to extremely low temperatures, often below -100°C (-148°F). This transformation converts residual austenite into martensite, significantly increasing hardness, wear resistance and overall durability. Thanks to these advanced processes, 14C28N steel provides exceptional performance, offering both razor-sharp edge retention and extraordinary blade durability.

Blade - Clip Point, finished with a Stonewashed finish to hide minor scratches caused during use, then coated with a black coating. The gently curved cutting edge converges towards the tip of the blade. The thickness of the blade in combination with a flat grind results in a perfect cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ceramic ball bearings ensure smooth and easy operation and support opening of the blade with the front flipper or the hole in the handle. Upper jimping on the back of the blade, a corrugated thumb rest. The locking mechanism is a durable Frame Lock with a steel inlay to prevent the lock face from wearing off.

Handle - made of solid titanium 6AL4V, beveled edges of the covers eliminate sharp edges. The slightly rough texture of the handle ensures a secure grip. The entire knife is screwed onto a solid titanium backspacer. The pivot cap is made of contrasting titanium. The forefinger groove improves the grip. The single-position (right) titanium deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in a tip-up position (with the tip of the blade up). There is a hole in the upper part of the backspacer for a safety or decorative cord.
