14C28N - martensitic stainless chromium steel is the latest development in the range of knife steels produced by the Swedish steelworks Sandvik. The optimized chemical composition with a unique combination ensures the highest quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the carbon content to 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content to 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding nitrogen to 0.11% (N), the corrosion resistance has been significantly increased. Considered an improved version of 13C26. Unbeatable in the price/quality category!

Vacuum & Cryogenic - 14C28N steel undergoes a specialized heat treatment process involving two key stages. Vacuum Heat Treatment - the steel is hardened in a vacuum environment, which minimizes oxidation and ensures more uniform metal properties. This process increases the strength and structural integrity of the steel. Cryogenic Treatment After heating, the steel is rapidly cooled to extremely low temperatures, often below -100°C (-148°F). This transformation changes the residual austenite into martensite, significantly increasing the hardness, wear resistance and overall durability. Thanks to these advanced processes, 14C28N steel ensures exceptional performance, offering both razor-sharp edge retention and extraordinary blade durability.

Blade - Spear Point type, finished with Beadblasted method to mask small scratches caused during use. Blade thickness ensures high durability while Full Flat grinding gives perfect cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Upper jimping on the back of the blade, a notched thumb rest.

Handle - grips made of Micarta composite, a material with high mechanical strength and almost complete resistance to weather and chemicals, with a slightly rough surface for improved grip. The profiled shape ensures a comfortable, secure grip even with wet hands. The forefinger groove is corrugated to improve control of the knife. At the back, the protruding part of the tang has a hole for a decorative or safety cord. It can also be used as an improvised window breaker.

Sheath - made of Kydrex, extendable, protects the blade and part of the handle. Thanks to the Tek-Lok clip, the knife can be attached to a belt or equipment in almost any way.
