C60 is a medium carbon structural steel with a carbon content of 0.57-0.65% (by weight). The higher carbon content ensures considerable hardness and high tensile strength (Rm ≈ 700-850 MPa after normalization) as well as good abrasion resistance. Used for the production of high-strength components such as springs, shafts, gears, hand tools (e.g. hammers, chisels) and machine parts. It is characterized by lower corrosion resistance compared to stainless steels.

NOTE! It is not stainless steel, so it requires minimal maintenance after use or if it is not to be used for a long time.

Head - made of high-carbon C60 steel, known for its excellent hardness and wear resistance. Each head is hand-sharpened by skilled craftsmen. Its classic Yankee-style shape with a wide blade allows for precise and effective cutting. Thanks to its proper balance, the axe provides optimal control during work, minimizing user fatigue. The finish of the head emphasizes its solidity and aesthetics, making it not only a functional but also an attractive tool.

Handle - made of selected American hickory wood, valued for its strength and durability. The ergonomic shape of the handle ensures a secure grip and comfort of use, even during long-term work. The bottom of the shaft is coated with water-based paint with a rough, non-slip texture, which ensures a secure grip and precision during work. Additional protection of the shaft surface increases weather resistance and extends its service life. The shaft is secured with a wooden wedge and two steel ring wedges, guaranteeing safety and efficiency when using the axe.

Cover - a hand-sewn leather cover for the head, enabling safe carrying of the tool.
