WeKnife Tighe Down Tanto Black Titanium/Black-Yellow Carbon Fiber, Black Stonewashed M390 by Brian Tighe (WE24054B-1)
- Tighe Down Tanto Black Titanium/Black-Yellow Carbon Fiber, Black Stonewashed, an exclusive folding knife designed by Brian Tighe. Blade made of M390 steel, titanium handle with carbon fiber inlay, button lock, stonewashed finish.
Tighe Down Tanto Black Titanium/Black-Yellow Carbon Fiber, Black Stonewashed is the result of a collaboration between WE Knife brand and renowned designer Brian Tighe, who has been creating designs that combine technical precision with modern design. The folder was designed as an EDC tool, intended for consumers who expect perfection of workmanship and premium aesthetics. The design integrates high cutting functionality with ergonomic handling and high-end aesthetics, making it both an everyday choice and an exclusive collection piece. Blade is made of Böhler M390 powder steel, known for its excellent edge retention, corrosion resistance and high utility stability. The drop point profile and flat grind guarantee precise cutting guidance and versatility, while the hand satin-finished surface adds a touch of elegance. Handle was created from a single piece of titanium (integral), which ensures its structural rigidity and high mechanical resistance. The Carbon Fiber inserts used give the whole a dynamic, futuristic look, while improving grip comfort. Ergonomic milling, chamfered edges and refined details testify to the high culture of workmanship. The opening mechanism is based on a flipper and thumb stud, allowing quick and intuitive opening. Responsible for locking the blade is the button lock system, known for its smooth operation and high level of user safety. The whole is complemented by a deep carry clip, which allows discreet carrying. This model is aimed at collectors and EDC users, who are looking for a premium knife that combines the best materials, modern design and reliability in practice.

M390 - a martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to the alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of “wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) doped with 1.9% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), hardened between 59-61 HRC, vacuum and cryogenic treatment and double tempering. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - the Böhler M390 steel used is distinguished by above-average hardness and excellent sharpness retention, which translates into reliability even under heavy use. The tanto profile provides an aggressive balance between precision and cutting power. The flat grind promotes easy penetration of the material, as well as allowing full control over blade guidance. The Stoinewashed finish and black coating highlight the technical design. The opening system is based on a flipper and thumb stud, which guarantees fast and smooth operation in all conditions.
Handle - made of a uniform block of titanium (integral), which translates into maximum durability and modern appearance. The lack of structural joints increases mechanical resistance and eliminates potential points of weakness. The surface has been finished with an “orange peel” texture. Black/Yellow Carbon Fiber inserts not only enrich the aesthetics, but also improve the ergonomics of the grip. Handle profiling, subtle milling and refined details ensure comfort and precision in handling. The button lock mechanism used has been discreetly integrated, providing intuitive and safe operation. It is complemented by a deep carry clip, allowing the knife to be carried invisibly in the pocket, and a cord hole, which increases the functionality of the tool. The whole is in line with Brian Tighe's design vision, combining technological aesthetics with everyday practicality.
