Sleipner - a versatile high-alloy chrome-molybdenum-vanadium tool steel with high wear and chipping resistance with a balanced alloy composition: chromium content of 7.8% (Cr), 0.9% carbon (C), molybdenum 2.5% (Mo) and vanadium 0.5% (V). It achieves a high hardness of 60-62 HRC. Manufactured at Uddeholm steel plant .
A-Lock (Crossbar Lock) - a crossbar that moves horizontally in longitudinal cutouts in the steel side plates of the handle frame. When the knife is opened, the locking bar overlaps the back of the blade from above, preventing its return movement. This beam is pressed down by two springs. Unlocking is done by pulling back the locking bar, the ends of which are accessible through cutouts in the grips on the sides of the Handle grips. In the closed position, the bar presses against the cam surface at the back of the Blade, preventing it from opening on its own. Advantages of the Crossbar Lock include resistance to contamination, practical insensitivity to dynamic loads, ease of operation with both right and left hands, and lightweight operation.
DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) durability of the blade's surface is enhanced with a matte black nanocomposite coating, which exhibits unique properties such as exceptional hardness and low friction, as well as excellent corrosion protection. It is one of the most resistant coatings to scratches and abrasion that are used in the industry, including the knife industry.
Blade - Drop Point type , coated with black DLC coating , decorated with graphics depicting the head of a lion. The pronounced belly extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the blade converging towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The small thickness of the blade, combined with a high, flat grind, results in excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ball bearings support the smooth operation of the blade's opening mechanism, which can be opened with a pin in the blade, which features a fluorescent dot made of Swiss Superluminova material to make it easier to find the knife in the dark. The whole thing is locked with an intuitive A-Lock.
Handle - made of GRN composite in white, weatherproof plastic, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage, 3D textured to improve grip. The whole thing is bolted to a solid backspacer. Simple, secure design gives you the assurance of years of use. Two-position left/right wire clip deep carry allows you to carry the knife in tip-up (tip up) position. The colors of the Handle, screws, backspacer or peg in the wedge refer to the national colors of the Czech Republic (white/blue/red).
