FOX Veleno D/E Knife OD Green G10, Black Top Shield N690Co (FX-596 G10 OD AF)
- Veleno D/E OD Green G10, Black Top Shield is a tactical fixed-blade knife made of N690Co steel with a durable Black Top Shield coating and an ergonomic G10 handle. The design creates a solid, well-balanced construction for intensive use.
Veleno Double Edged OD Green G10, Black Top Shield, a dagger with a symmetrical sharp blade on both sides, resembles a knife that Fox made on behalf of the G.I.S. (Gruppo d'Intervento Speciale), a special operational / anti-terrorist group of the Italian Carabinieri. The design is aimed at those looking for a full-fledged field tool, which will perform well both in operational tasks and in outdoor conditions, where reliability is not an option - but a necessity. The design clearly emphasizes technical character and endurance potential, subordinating every element to field practice. At the heart of the knife is a symmetrical dagger blade made of N690Co steel, known for its high corrosion resistance, good sharpness retention and durability under heavy use. The Black Top Shield coating reduces reflections and increases the durability of the working surface. This is a blade designed not for show - but for consistent, repeatable functionality. The G10 composite handle is contoured for full gloved grip and operation in harsh environments. The textured surface and pronounced crossguard enhance handling safety, while the rear extension aids control for power techniques. The whole is complemented by a leather sheath, allowing quick access and safe carrying of the knife. Veleno is a tool with tactical pedigree and operational readiness, designed with professionals in mind.
N690Co - cobalt-rich 1.65% (Co) corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C), martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with molybdenum 1.10% (Mo), vanadium 0.10% (V). Developed to provide better wear resistance compared to the original Böhler N690 steel, but with higher cobalt (Co) content in its composition. It features exceptionally high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world today. Hardened in the range of 59-61 HRC. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - extremely slender with a Dagger shape with a double-edged symmetrical blade. The blade was coated with a black, non-reflective coating Top Shield®. The blade was derived with a Flat grind for excellent cutting and especially penetration properties. On both sides closer to the Handle a sawtooth blade with fine serrations. At the base of the blade double finger guard crossguard on both sides to protect the hand from slipping on the blade.
Handle - made of high quality G10 composite. Provides lightness and ergonomic shape improves a secure grip especially with wet hands. The head with an enlarged oval hole (lanyard hole) that allows you to pull a lanyard or safety line, can act as a glass striker.

Przeczytaj!
This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.
Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.
A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.
When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.
Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.
