AISI 420 (American Iron and Steel Institute) rich in 0.15% carbon, containing min. 12% chromium, a martensitic stainless steel that offers high hardenability (in the 54-56 HRC range) and strength and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds, providing wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools and knife blades.
Blade - with a Kukri profile, 3.2 mm thick, covered with a matte non-reflective coating that protects against corrosion. Made of durable AISI 420 stainless steel resistant to chipping and cracking, hardened in the range of 54-56 HRC. Smooth blade (Plain type) was made with a concave cut (Hollow grind) ensuring excellent cutting properties.
Handle - textured pads finished in the shape of a cross protects the hand while working. Made of synthetic rubber, they increase the grip also with wet hands. In the rear part of the handle there is a hole for mounting the rope.
Case - black ballistic nylon, fastened with a snap.
