The Caper (another name for the Redback spider) faithfully replicates Phillips' distinctive style and craftsmanship, as well as the distinctive red backspacer of his custom folder. CPM S30V - The blade is made from Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) manufactured corrosion resistant, mechanical stress resistant American powder steel with a hardness of 58-59 HRC with carbon, chromium and vanadium added. This unique steel is designed for the manufacture of premium blades. Manufactured in the mills of Crucible Inc.
Compression-Lock - (similar to Liner-Lock) a patented blade locking mechanism by Spyderco (made in USA). Extremely durable, provides extreme strength and ease of use. Located on the back of the handle, it protects the knife from unintentional closing. When releasing the lock, the fingers are not in the path of the folding head.
