Keanu Alfaro, an experienced industrial designer and entrepreneur from San Diego, California, USA, has an unwavering passion for creating innovative knives and everyday tools. His youth was spent playing sports, hiking, building things and exploring the world, and it was during these adventures that he discovered his fascination with knives and tools. In 2021, Keanu began his career by joining a prestigious knife and tool company. He quickly made a name for himself as a talented designer, known for his ability to create products that combine functionality with aesthetics.

D2 - a high-carbon, high-chromium high-speed tool steel heat -treated to 58-60 HRC. With a high chromium content of 13.0% (Cr), it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. Features high wear resistance due to high carbide content in the microstructure.

Blade - Tanto type, finished masking minor scratches formed during use by Stonewashed method, and then covered with a black coating. The geometric belly extends the length of the cutting edge relative to the length of the blade converging toward the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ceramic ball bearings support the opening of the blade with a quick index-finger flipper, which also acts as a guard when open. A section of the blade's back is covered with an upper jimping, notched thumb rest for easy control of the knife. The whole is locked with the proven and popular liner lock.

Black Stonewashed - a finishing method that combines two techniques. Stonewashed, the blade is subjected to a process of “stones bath,” which makes minor scratches created during use less visible. This is followed by a Dark Coating, applying a non-reflective black layer over the blade. The result is a unique, aged appearance with a matte, dark finish that is both stylish and practical.

Handle - grips made of G10 composite, practically indestructible plastic insensitive to weather conditions, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage. Chamfered edges of the covers eliminate sharp edges and characteristic vertical surface grooves improve grip security. The open-backed design, fixed with steel spacer sleeves, reduces weight and facilitates cleaning. The single-position (right) clip allows the knife to be carried in tip-up position, with the tip of the blade upward. Above the clip a hole for threading a safety or decorative cord.
