Martinez Albainox Thrower Knife Steel, Satin 3Cr13Mov (31247)
- The Martinez Albainox Thrower Steel, Satin 3Cr13Mov (31247) is a one-piece throwing knife made of 3Cr13MoV steel, with a spear point blade and balanced geometry. Ideal for throwing training - with a carrying pouch.
Thrower Steel, Satin by Martinez Albainox is designed as a functional throwing knife, offering the flight stability and durability needed for training. It's a tool that appeals to users who value simplicity, durability and repeatable performance. The entire design was subordinated to one function - effective and predictable throwing - without unnecessary details that could upset the balance. The construction uses 3Cr13MoV steel , well known for its resistance to stress and ease of maintenance. Its properties make the knife perform well during intensive casting sessions without losing its performance. The symmetrical spear point geometry, satin finish and lack of grips give a purely technical character to the whole, while emphasizing the sporty profile of the model. The one-piece design allows different ways of grasping - both classic by the Handle and dynamic by the blade - which allows you to practice a variety of styles and distances. A textile pouch ensures safe transportation and storage. Albainox Thrower is a training tool, which is distinguished by its simple form, high durability and effective balance, important for learning and improving throwing techniques.
3Cr13MoV is a martensitic chromium steel that has been enriched with molybdenum (Mo) and vanadium (V) to improve its performance properties. The typical chemical composition includes about 0.26-0.35% carbon (C), 12.5-14.5% chromium (Cr), 0.4-0.6% molybdenum (Mo) and 0.1-0.2% vanadium (V). The addition of chromium provides corrosion resistance, while molybdenum increases hardenability, high-temperature strength and resistance to pitting corrosion. Vanadium contributes to the hardness, wear resistance and fine grain structure of the steel. 3Cr13MoV is used for knives (often found in folding knives and hunting knives), medical tools and other applications where a good combination of corrosion resistance, hardness and strength is required. It is an improved version of 3Cr13 steel, offering better sharpness retention and overall durability.
Blade - 3Cr13MoV steel is used , valued for its good impact resistance, which is crucial for knives intended for throwing. Blade with symmetrical spear point profile is designed for axial flight and stable behavior in the air. The cutting edge is auxiliary and optimized for contact with training targets. The satin finish reduces reflections and makes it easier to maintain an aesthetically pleasing appearance even under heavy use. Holes in the back improve balance and give the Blade technical lightness, without affecting durability.
Handle - the integrated steel handle is a consistent element with the Blade, made from the same piece of material - which increases rigidity and eliminates potential points of weakness. Its simple, ergonomic shape allows for a natural grip in multiple positions - crucial for a variety of casting styles. The weight-reducing holes also play a non-slip role, improving the feel of the knife in the hand. Thanks to the lack of grips and moving parts, the knife is extremely resistant to mechanical damage and easy to maintain. The Handle perfectly harmonizes with the overall geometry, ensuring high trajectory repeatability and throwing efficiency.
